This year Labor Day weekend was a bit different for me...
I was in America last year, enjoying the company of my family, Bella, the Pour House, Diet Coke in a can...
all things Americana.
While this year was probably very similar for Matt,
{he worked all weekend}
here is what my Labor Day weekend 2012 looked like:
* going to the gym
* researching tickets for a show in London
... and how to vote from an international location
*watching non Labor Day celebrators enjoy their Labor Day weekend
*finished reading a photography book and the novel, East of Eden
*completed this weeks meal plan, shopping list, and a trip to the market
*DIY mani
and to round out the holiday weekend we had a rare American {in Cartagena} moment...
At our favorite store, Price Smart, they sell ribeye, Matt's favorite.
We have discovered that by Sunday, the day that we tend to make our appearance, this carne is all sold out. A friend of ours was able to score some ribeye for the holiday weekend and kindly invited us over for dinner. What made the situation all the greater was that this friend has a grill.
grilled carne.
If that's not American,
I don't know what is.
