That leaves Matt with 4 wins and Sarah with 3.
I wasn't expecting to pull a 'W' as Matt kills it every year with his precise cuts and attention to detail. On carving day Matt returned from work, completely prepared with stencils and potential designs. We each interpreted the 'design' portion a bit differently, myself with glittered polka dots while Matt treated his pumpkin like a blank canvas. When I saw his 'cat on the fence' piece I was shaking in my Uggs.
We had a lot of fun with the competition this year,
possibly more than usual, because it was the Pumpkin Carving Contest that almost wasn't.
As the winner, I am thrilled it was.
