The days are warm, not hot.
You can spend the entire day outside, completely comfortable
and as the sun goes down you slip on a cardigan and enjoy the last moments of a perfect day.
Bliss.
But it doesn't last.
So we spent most of the weekend outside.
It started with a walk & a stop at the park.
Some backyard play,
a lot of dolly quality time, {this is big lately}
and even a little paint.
Dad had some visitors.
Alan came from Chicago & Scott came from Des Moines,
so we spent the evening over at the Fishers.
Anna schooled Lauren in Texas Easter traditions and introduced her to 'cascarones', confetti filled eggs.
She loved it.
Thankfully Mom's got some ready and waiting for next weekend.
We spent Sunday preparing our busy toddler for Easter...
with her first Easter Egg Hunt.
She was a fan.
Taking her time and looking inside each egg before placing it in her basket.
She wasn't quite as excited about a visit to the Easter bunny.
However we remained pretty positive about the short visit.
It wasn't nearly as traumatic as Santa and it ended with a high five.
This weekends practice run got all of us excited about what's in store next weekend.
It was a perfectly lovely weekend enjoyed by all the girls...
including the biggest one.
