how we spent our last days as a family of two...
... lots of walks with our furry baby, Bella
... a trip to the mall to shop for adult attire only
... lots of lunch dates around town
... a trip to the lake
... dinner & a movie
... shopping for Matt's new father celebratory selection of bourbon and cigars
... a Barre3 workout in the park
We're ready.
But someday we will look back on these final days and wonder what we ever did with so much time on our hands.

together
He's back...
We're all together now.
Which means we are ready to meet our little darling.
We are enjoying our time together, soaking up the last moments of the life we've known for the last 7 years and 8 months.
We are also prepared to welcome our third member {fourth counting our furry baby Bella} at any time.
Yesterday I ate 3/4 of a pineapple and walked 10 miles {not all at once} trying to help our little Georgie along.
I'm still pregnant.

five things
{1}
Last weekend I added some candy bags to my nurse thank yous.
They're fall themed.
This made me happy.
{2}
Speaking of fall, last week I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte {decaf}.
I came to the conclusion that if Colombia had Pumpkin Spice Lattes, I could get a fix of fall.
Yes, I've thought of making them myself.
But pumpkin doesn't exist.
I couldn't even get the Spanish word for pumpkin from my Spanish teacher.
{3}
Bella Rose has been very snuggly lately.
It's like she knows something is about to change...
Thankfully, she has two sweet girls to keep her company.
{4}
My husband is arriving on Friday!!!
This is a week earlier than our original plan.
{which was 3 days before the due date and seemed more stressful each day}
Yesterday Matt called while I was preparing to install the base of the carseat into our car. He shared that he had made the decision to head back early... because he wasn't sure if I was going to make it to the end and he is terrified of missing it.
I immediately stopped installing the carseat.
Looks like daddy has a job when he arrives.
Needless to say, this future mom is very happy.
{5}
#4 is so good, I don't need a number 5 this week.
I am thrilled, relieved, and slept peacefully last night for the first time in a while.

lately...
... I've been snuggling up this baby boxer Bella.
I can't even deal with the gray hair.
... I've been putting together some little gift bags for all the lovely nurses who will help us to create our birth story.
... I've been finding some practical use for this 'in the way' belly.
... I've been crocheting some little baby booties for George. They're not perfect, but they're handmade by mama.
{that felt so strange to type...}
... I've been wondering if we are about to become parents to a little gentleman or lady.
... I've been missing my husband. When I received this tin of goodies from him, it brightened my day, but also made me miss him a little bit more.
... I made a run to the store for last minute baby items after having a dream that the babe arrived and we weren't ready.
I've also been washing baby clothes, organizing drawers, and sanitizing toys.
I think they call that nesting.

five things
{1}
Grandpa Clet was in town last week. It is always nice to be able to spend some time with him. I am thrilled with how many special people I've been able to see since I've been back in the US during this pregnancy. Now I only hope Baby McQuinn is able to meet all of these special people once he or she arrives!
{2}
Last week I put the stroller together.
All by myself.
(Honestly it wasn't that difficult so I don't even think I can brag about it)
We did quite a bit of research in the stroller game. Due to the amount we will be traveling and having to take the size of Colombian cabs into play, we are pretty confident that we found the right one for us.
I even practiced folding it down and opening it back up a few times.
I was pleased to cross this item off the to-do list.
However, I've yet to tackle the carseat.
{3}
I spent most of my Labor Day weekend at the lake.
Sometimes it's funny to compare my adventures at the Pour House this year to those of last year.
{4}
As you can noticed {above} this baby belly has taken over. I often wonder how it can get any bigger, but people assure it will. While I am still feeling great and am so thankful for how healthy this pregnancy has been, I am beginning to experience those end of pregnancy symptoms. I can't bend over, sometimes I make noises trying to get into the car, sleep is completely interrupted, and my lower back is feeling the weight of this belly.
One month to go.
{5}
At my doctor appointment this week I had another ultrasound scheduled to check on Baby McQuinn and see which way our little darling was facing. Thankfully we are head down.
While I am feeling the effects of my pregnancy size, it looks like George is also feeling it. Our little babe is pretty squished...
Being able to take a peek at our Georgie this close to meeting him or her has us so excited...
We can't wait to welcome this precious baby and can't believe how close we are to that special day.
Until then, when we can stare completely in love at every feature and detail of this little one, I think its safe to say...
