On Tuesday we enjoyed some lunch and said 'adios' to our Minnie. We spent an afternoon lounging and then decided to get our learn on at a Mixology class. This syllabus included 4 special concoctions:
a Bahama Mama
a Blue Margarita
a Red Orchid
and a White Russian
Much like our previous class it turned out to be a terrific event. Our friends from Boston, Joe & Sharon, attended so it was basically a class reunion.
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures during this occasion, but imagine an after party that included drinks, dinner, dueling pianos, & lots of laughter.
{as well as shared contact information and if I do recall, an invite to Cartagena}
Wednesday was a father|daughter day with Animal Kingdom as a destination. This park was new to me so it was exciting to be experiencing some Disney magic for the first time.
I was shocked by the amount of live animals throughout the park...
... especially on the Kilimanjaro Safari Expedition.
We also enjoyed the Expedition Everest roller coaster
some shows, including Finding Nemo
and the random happenings around the park.
It was a pretty special father|daughter Disney day
Thursday was our last full day and it was a gorgeous one, perfect for poolside. We spent the day lounging, listening to music, reading {finished The Psychopath Test... highly recommend} and chatting, all well catching some rays. We had dinner on the property and shared a wonderful bottle of red as we toasted to the wonderful week of vacation and memories made.
On Friday our flight didn't leave until the evening so we set out to see family that are in the area for the winter, my great grandmother, great aunt, and my father's cousin. It was wonderful to see everyone, especially my Great Grandma Sara, who looks as gorgeous as ever.
It was a whirlwind of a trip.
It's not often that you get to take 9 full days
spend it with your parents
and your bestie
enjoy the sun
try new things
visit the happiest place on earth
and get an education.
I know.
I'm one lucky girl.
