The laundry is in piles throughout the house.
Lauren forgot her toothbrush at Papa & Grandmas.
And we have no milk in the fridge.
Despite the to-do list,
we made time for some backyard play.

She picked it out all by herself
and put it on all by herself
and came downstairs dressed all by herself this morning.
While I admit I tried to get her to be on some coordinating shorts,
she explained how 'cozy comfy' these too short leggings were and I backed off.
Because there's too much laundry to do
and the pride she had for these cozy comfy pants did make my mama heart smile.
Plus, today was an online grocery order day.
