Well, we survived.
Our first Christmas in a foreign country.
And although that comfortable feeling of being surrounded by love & noise
was greatly missed,
we managed to share in a little joy & tradition.
Christmas Eve greeted us with a lazy morning
{coffee & reading}
and a few Christmas films.
We joined a few other families for a dinner on Christmas Eve
and concluded the evening with hot cocoa & gifts.
This is Bella's Christmas Eve.
{i was slightly jealous}
Christmas Day we woke up and prepared a delicious breakfast
with mimosas to compliment.
The previous day Anthony Bourdain taught us to open a champagne bottle with a knife.
Of course McQuinn was all over this.
After his initial stroke we heard glass break, but the bottle was still intact.
He prepared for another shot at it when there was a noise
and the cork shot out of the bottle all on it's own.
We had plans to host another couple for Christmas dinner at our apartamento.
Our day was full of preparation and Christmas movies.
lots of Christmas movies.
Due to my troubles with the oven I had a little bit of anxiety
regarding our Christmas turkey,
but after a little bit of trouble shooting we were confident
with the process and able to relax.
{this was a toast to you dad}
Hope your Christmas was filled with lots of love & joy!
